Its 2 o’Clock In The Morning…

The winds are viscous tonight. They are so loud. I’m not even sure I shut the window properly. They have a shadow thats letting a tiny bit of a chill into the room.

Its 2am and I’m up reading The Bible. I havent posted anything in ages, but its okay, It’s not like I owe anyone anything. I’m not one of those people who just has to post everyday or else!

But I’ll tell you what – I went to Church Camp last week and celebrated The Festival of Shelters ( When Israel were in the wildernes…You basically give thanks to God). All in all it was awesome! I KNOW it’s not cool to think so or blog about it bu thats Indie. Aside the worship, sermons and food the atmosphere was electric. One of the parts I’ll never forget was laying on our balcony looking at the stars, they were almost close enough to touch, so sparkly. And they didn’t try to outdo each other either, they just lay there in their glory waiting to take someone breath away but how much Greater the One who made them?!

It was a wonderful experience. those of you who know Indie know I was enticed by Autumn Chill and her colours, the night sky took my breath away and the Tennessee style ranch with a lake behind it was just the icing on the cake! I wish I had pictures but, they’re in my head. I loved it. I’ve always wanted to stare into the night sky ( being me I couldnt resist but do a small Titanic scene! The one where he’s in the water and she says I’ll never let go then lets go).Reach for the stars guys, even if its cold, They’re not that far away!

One Swift Movement

You've been Taylored, Swiftly.

I seem to be the only teen girl who has noticed that Taylor Swifts songs are all about love and relationship ( you’re probably thinkin ‘no shizz Sherlock!’). Yes, I’ll admit it, Taylor Swift’s songs drive me crazy. I’m not taking a stab at Taylor, I think she is a beautiful girl with loads talent.

I and a bunch of friends (all girls) have openly admitted that Taylor’s songs make us want to be in love. I think it’s unhealthy but we enjoy the music so much that we dont see it, we forget about what it is that keeps us young, we forget about living for today. No doubt boys are hot and as young women we should be allowed to drool but believe me once you got one, it’s STRESSFUL! You will be surprised to know I have taken the dramatic step of removing ALL her songs from my playlist, to save my young mind from a warped-fairytale-media-imposed vision of love.

All I’m saying is DONT BE HYPNOTIZED BY THE ‘LOVE’ STORY. We are young, lets embrace it, go out have a good time, watch the sunset and hang on to hope. Relationships aren’t everything at 15. Focus on knowing yourself before you let someone else know you. Enjoy Life. Dont be Tailored, Be You.

Summer Came Like Cinnamon, So Sweet.

So It's Autumn ( Fall for you Americanos). Sew Me.

Ok, so this post is about Autumn and not Summer. As you can see from the above picture, I have been incredibly inspired by the good old British weather to write a post. September by Daughtry taught me that September is goodbye to summer and summer romance, but even with all the rain we could still carry on in enjoy and say ‘it was worth it in the end’. I never thought I’d say this but, as much as I love you Daughtry, I beg to differ. I can’t seem to believe that in Endland we have had a week of blazing sunshine that meant this weekend everyone was all shorts and shades ( LA would probably consider our sunshine their -10 degrees though!), unfortunately i think it may be short lived. Long story short ( or ill be here forever!) I LOVE AUTUMN. Forget the cold, It’s not about that. The colours are spectacular, greens, reds and yellows all mixed in and mashed together. Every time, I see it every year and I still  never get used to it, the beauty is overwhelming, take five minutes to notice it, The way the warm light beams it’s way through the tree leaves. And with the August type sunshine we’ve been having lately It’s been that little bit more beautiful. Walking home, Corrine Bailey Rae’s Put Your Records On, came into my head. It’s just the kinda song that accompanies this mood, it’s just right. Summer did come like Cinnamon, It was sweet, but its didnt wanna leave and came again in September, and I’ll enjoy it… While It’s here. I hope you do too.

It’s Not A Chick Flick!

One of the Greatest Films Ever!

I can promise you that Letters to  God IS NOT A CHICK FLICK! If you have ever watched My Sister’s Keeper with Cameron Diaz then you are gonna love this ( No not WITH Cameron Diaz, she’s IN the film!). Yes, its about a sick child who devotes himself to writing letters to God to help him cope and understand what is happening to him. You dont have to be a beleiver to watch this film, in fact I think that it reaches out to everyone. Its heart warming and delicate in a captivating way, If you EVER watch anything, make sure its this! I must admit I did cry a little, but I can promise you that its an hour and 20 mins well spent. Curl up with a bowl of popcorn and a box of Chocolates, It’s a great watch!
